IPL sides
Hero11 notes on IPL roles, not on famous shirts
The club name matters less than the job. Someone who opens, bowls the death, or fields in a busy place can outscore a bigger reputation.
Read the team news for likely jobs, then decide whether this room pays safety or upside.
How to read an IPL team sheet
- Watch for a change in batting position.
- See which bowlers are likely to finish the innings.
- Note all-rounders whose overs look secure.
- Skip a name whose place depends on the impact rule.
A check on role stabilityPick the player for the job in this match, not for a highlight from last season.
Openers
They usually face the most balls, though the pitch and the bowling still change that.
Bowlers at the death
Wickets can arrive late, and so can a bad economy.
Players who do both
They are strongest when both the batting slot and the overs are secure.
